This week, we had the absolute joy of helping one of our amazing community members, Lottie, check a major item off her bucket list! 📝👇 Lottie wanted to experience what it’s like to get behind the bar and pour the perfect pint. Because of the incredible team at The New Inn Wetherby—and truly the friendliest landlady in town!—Lottie did exactly that. Not only did she get behind the bar, but she poured a flawless pint of Guinness! 🇮🇪🍺 (And we all know that's no easy feat!) Here is what Lottie had to say about her experience: "Pulling a pint has been a long held dream of mine, I've always wanted to work in a pub, but a lot are difficult as a customer, never mind behind a bar. I have a lovely local, run by Alyss Crystal and Josh Watkins and just after she took over, when I was a bit tipsy I confided in her about this and she has never forgotten. Today, she helped make a dream come true and I pulled my own pint of Guinness. It just goes to show that nothing is impossible. Dreams can come true, it just takes the right person and a moment in time. I've gone from feeling more disabled than ever at the start of the work to feeling like I can take on the world. Today Sean Coates from our bar completed his Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge I'm Aid of Martin House He beat his last record of 13 hours by 1 hour, 15 Minutes Hours. Completing all three Peaks in 11 Hours, 45 Minutes. He's now back at the pub having a well deserved guinness! Well done Sean!
